Student Kayah Kabia faces three years detention

Justice Browne Marke who doubles as the Acting Chief Justice was charged with the responsibility of looking into ninety four criminal cases whilst on Monday 23^rd September 2024 sentences Yayah Kabia to three years’ imprisonment.

He was charged with larceny when on 4^th March, 2024 stole sixteen thousand new Leones (16,000).

The accused told the Court that the money was not sum up to that amount had handed to the police who detained him over four thousand new Leones

He continued that when he was in remand his relative visited him to break the news of the death of his mother.

He said he is 23 years old and a student.
