Four persons including   a business woman, Rainatu Bah reportedly lost their lives on the spot in a gruesome road   accident along the Kabala Makeni highway.

This happened when  their  Toyata Land Cruisher collided with another vehicle  over the weekend  on May 4th 2024 .

Rainatu is the only child of Mama Adama Jalloh who is  now left to grieve  the loss of her only child. Road crashes are prevalent on the Kabala Makeni highway with the authorities doing little or nothing to address the issue of over speeding and road worthy vehicles plying the highway .The Road Safety and Traffic Corps offices  in that part of the country are incapacitated making   them  unable to monitor  vehicles that  carry excess passengers, plying with worn out tire  and other traffic offences.

As a result, hardly a month passes by without reports of major accidents in that part of the country with the recent one being the death of these four persons, two males and two  females  all being business persons .

News of the death of Rainatu Bah, wife of Abu Bakarr S Koroma and formerly of Checkpoint, Rokel in the Western Area Rural District was received with shock by relatives and friends who described her as an industrious woman. Born on 4th June 1992, Rainatu Bah had a bright prospect ahead of her and according to her husband, Abu Bakarr S Koroma who spoke to this medium with uncontrollable tears, Rainatu  Bah did advice herself not to travel to Kabala but was persuaded by her aunt  and other relatives  since they consider her as very vital when it comes to settling family disputes

On that fateful day she was returning from visiting her relatives in Kabala   where she   had also held fruitful discussions about how to foster unity among family members when the accident occurred.

Eye witness accounts intimated this medium that the vehicle was derelict and was running at a high speed when the driver could no longer control his speed and ended up colliding with another vehicle leading to the death of all but one of the passengers including the driver who it was reported is under the Intensive Care Unit at the Kabala Government hospital whilst the four corpse have been conveyed to the Mortuary awaiting burial.
