Kandeh Samura sent on remand for obtaining money by false pretense

Justice Reginald Fynn on Thursday, September 5, 2024 sent Kandeh Samura to the Pademba Road Correctional center on remand for obtaining money by false pretense.

The  matter  first came  up for hearing on May 1st, 2023  when  Alpha Gbla of No 2 Gbla Street Yams Farm School, arrested  Kandeh Samura of the same  area  and reported that on diverse dates between 1st July, 2023 and 12th  September, 2023 he  conspired together with other persons unknown and obtained from him the sum of four thousand two Hundred United States Dollars (USD 4,200) equivalent to one hundred thousand and eight hundred Leones (SLE 108, 000) for the purpose of facilitating a travel program of his younger brother Gibrilla Gbla (victim) from Sierra Leone to Italy for job opportunity knowing to be false.

The matter was adjourned to Monday 9th 2024.

The accused is a renowned photographer which the Registrar, Archibald confirmed before Justice Sydney Fynn.
