MCC Coordinator encourages Sierra Leoneans to embrace Compact.

National Coordinator Sierra Leone Compact Development Unit, Ndeye Fatu Koroma on Tuesday 8th October, 2024 urged Sierra Leoneans to embrace   the e compact because it   will bring everlasting development in the country.

She called on Sierra Leoneans to embrace the Millennium Challenge Compact because it will foster lasting development in the country.

She stated that Sierra Leone is going   to enter into a mobilization face that the technical team has to be involved in ensuring that they utilize their expertise in the actualization of the activities of the compact.

She registered her commitment that the design face for the implementation is going to be established in felt need areas adding that special money is dedicated for the compact facilitation stage and that money is going to be supervised by the government and board members.

National Coordinator further expressed that they will table stakeholders engagement in all areas that the work is going to be implemented. She said that the compact will connect the country through the transmission line to ensure that there is a reduction in electricity cut off.

She maintained that they will try to know which areas to invest and improve like the energy sector. She assured that the compact will also have to improve economic activities in the country.

The Coordinator assured people    engaged  in  economic activities in areas that have to be directly affected during the implementation of the expansive project that  they will be compensated.

She ended by encouraging Sierra Leoneans to believe in themselves and ensured that they continue to play their various roles to push the country forward.
