Institute of Public Administration and Management has on Wednesday 5th November 2025 celebrated the twenty fifth anniversary celebrations. This anniversary celebrations took place at the Freetown City Council Auditorium Hall Freetown.
The opening remarks of the Vice Chancellor of the University of Sierra Leone, Professor Aiah Lebbie called on the University of Sierra Leone students to accept and adapt to the transformative moves to rebrand the university, he further extended thanks to everyone in the university to take the transformative drive.
Keynote speaker and Chief Minister, Dr. David Sengeh, talked on the rapid national development plan through the fostering of food security and the revamping of human capital development.
He reaffirmed the institution’s readiness to be among the best institution in the world.
He further revealed IPAM unwavering commitment to training serious and outstanding bankers and entrepreneurs that would compete in the global market.
“Dr. Sengeh expressively satisfied the training performance of students that befitting its to be among the best business colleges in the world, and further pleased to take the venture of the Keynote speaker of that anniversary celebrations”, he expressed.
Minister of Technical and Higher Education, Dr Ramatulai Wurie, thanked the DVC of IPAM Professor Lakkoh and the entire staff of the college for undertaking such a milestone celebrations.
Dr. Ramatulai Wurie further explained the ministry’s unwavering commitment to ensure that the institution enable to train students that could compete at international level.
She emphasized the needs for students to pay more premium on entrepreneurship and technology as those areas could unlock their fate in the job market.
Chief Executive Officer of Africell expressed pleasure to be part of the 45th anniversary celebrations and extended thanks to the newly appointed DVC for giving him the opportunity to be part of the celebration.
CEO informed attendees for the anniversary celebrations how the collaboration between IPAM and africell started long time ago, and because of that long standing relationship helped tighten their bond.
He explained how they would provide e- learning platforms that would help the network connectivity for IPAM’s students.
CEO believed that e-learning provision would boost the learning opportunities for students. He expressed their sincere appreciation, openess, sincerity, and shared vision. He encouraged students to make use of the opportunity.
